A Data Governance and Quality Manager is required to join our client on an initial 6-month FTC, with a strong likelihood of extension and potential longer-term opportunity. This role offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week working from home and time on-site at the Birmingham City Centre head office.
You will act as a senior data governance specialist, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to define data standards, establish data quality rules, and embed strong governance practices. You will also champion data governance adoption, influencing stakeholders and building a culture of data trust, transparency, and accountability.

Do you have?
- Proven experience leading data governance programmes within large, complex organisations
- Strong background in data governance frameworks (e.g. DAMA, DCAM) and data strategy implementation
- Experience working in data warehouse and/or big data environments
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g. Microsoft Purview)
- Strong ability to define and implement data quality rules, KPIs, and measurement frameworks
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar query languages (preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban) in cross-functional teams (preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
