Lead Java Engineer

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Lead Java Engineer on a hybrid basis in Shropshire for an initial 6-month contract.

Job spec:

Experienced in Java, Spring, Platforms Integration, Kubernetes and ideally React Front End development.
Suitable candidates will be adept at working through technical challenges, driving out solutions and leading others to understand and develop these.
The role will require collaborative working, initially with Architects, QA Leads and Engagement Managers and as the project moves into Build, a full engineering team
The role will include accountability for creating the low level design (LLD) a given service or services (building on Architectural design work). The LLD will cover the entirety of the service and serve as the main input into formal impacting and backlog creation for the Build phase.
Post the Design phase, the role will include leading (technically) the development and delivery of a given service or services. Adopting shared / common components built within the wider team. programme, driving ways of working in line with the engineering principles and assuring the work in the team.
