Senior SAP ABAP Developer – S/4HANA

Whitehall Resources are currently supporting a leading international energy organisation and are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to support an ongoing S/4HANA programme.
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in ABAP development within S/4 environments and will play a key role in delivering scalable, clean-core compliant solutions across a complex system landscape.

This is a long-term programme focused on optimisation and enhancement of an existing S/4HANA environment, with a strong emphasis on extensibility, performance improvement, and integration. You will work closely with functional teams including HR and Time Management, contributing to design, build, and support activities across the development lifecycle.

Key Requirements (Must-Have)
* Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development (senior level)
* Proven track record working on S/4HANA projects
* Strong expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP
* Solid experience with OData services and CDS Views (design and development)
* Hands-on experience with Adobe Forms
* Strong experience developing reports, enhancements, and interfaces
* Experience supporting and optimising data processing jobs
* Understanding of clean core principles and extensibility approaches
* Strong collaboration skills working with functional stakeholders (e.g. HR, Time Management)

Nice to Have
* Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming)
* Experience with Flexible Workflow
