An SAP RTR Lead is required by Whitehall Resources to work with our large consultancy based client on a 6-12 month contract (C2C) basis. The ideal candidate will have prior SAP S/4 transformation experience and will have proven experience leading the design of RTR processes. This role offers fully remote working from the United States.
Job description for an RTR Expert with S/4 expertise:
- Lead the design of end-to-end RTR processes in the context of an SAP S/4HANA business transformation
- Optimize financial processes, including general ledger; intercompany accounting, asset accounting, reconciliations, period close, and reporting.
- Ensure process design aligns with global standards, local statutory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Define RTR E2E test scenarios that serve as basis for System integration testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Define key activities to prepare deployment and business cutover prior to transformation go-lives
Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years‘ of experience in a finance department of a CPG, ideally in the role of a global RTR/Finance process owner (GPO)
- At least 5 years of experience in RTR process optimization in large scale ERP implementations (SAP S/4)
- Deep expertise in finance processes incl. Finance & Controlling, General Ledger, Asset accounting, Financial closing/ period-end close, financial reporting, standard costing, chart of accounts, trade spend accounts, intercompany transactions/processes
- Be able to describe how best-in-class / standard processes look in the industry (and supported out of the box by SAP S/4 system and other best-of-bread finance systems) and where other companies do customize their processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex business scenarios
- Very strong content ownership
- Independently driving work planning and prioritization, in-time content creation, and sparring with broader Bain team
- Being able to understand and keep track of foundational deliverables in large-scale ERP implementations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, i.e. being able to speak technically/ in depth with the project teams, but at the same time being able to extract the most important messages for senior leadership audience
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams. And willing to coach more junior team members on content topics
- Hands-on mentality, being able to create „ready to use“ PPT slides of good quality
