Whitehall Resources require a Cyber Security Communications Manager to work with a key client on an initial 6-month contract.
*Outside IR35.
*This role will involve on site work in Macclesfield 3 days per week.
Communications Manager – Cyber Security
About the Role: As a Cyber Security Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our company’s information assets by managing our cyber security communication strategy. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive communication plans that raise awareness about cyber security threats and best practices among employees, stakeholders, and partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of cyber security principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Cyber Security Awareness Team and ETS Communications Manager, manage the global cyber security communication strategy that aligns with the company’s overall security objectives.
- Create engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, social media, and training materials.
- Collaborate with the IT and security teams to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of critical security information and updates.
- Organise and conduct cyber security awareness campaigns, workshops, and training sessions for employees at all levels.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and best practices to ensure the company’s communication strategy remains relevant and effective.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in a communications role, preferably within the cyber security or IT sector.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, threats, and best practices.
- Experience in developing and executing communication strategies and campaigns.
- Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and email marketing software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with Workplace by Meta advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cyber security.
- Professional certifications in cyber security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) or communications (e.g., CMP) are a plus.
