SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant / Part Project Lead

SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant / Part Project Lead required by Whitehall Resources for a global SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant who can combine strong functional expertise with project leadership capabilities. This is a hands-on consulting role with responsibility for managing and coordinating Finance workstream activities across a large-scale global transformation programme.
The successful candidate will lead Finance-related delivery activities while actively contributing to solution design discussions, testing, issue resolution, and SAP Finance implementation tasks.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant and Part Project Lead within a global transformation programme
• Lead Finance workstream activities across multiple project releases and deployment phases
• Coordinate BST, UAT, Cutover, Hypercare, and deployment readiness activities
• Track project risks, dependencies, actions, and deliverables
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams
• Support Finance process design workshops and implementation discussions
• Provide hands-on SAP Finance support including analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and configuration adjustments
• Ensure Finance deliverables are completed on time and aligned with project quality standards
• Support issue resolution and drive progress across the Finance workstream
• Contribute to project planning, status reporting, and stakeholder communication

Required Experience

• Proven SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation experience
• Strong SAP Finance functional expertise with hands-on configuration/customising experience
• Experience leading Finance workstreams, sub-projects, or Finance streams within SAP programmes
• Strong understanding of Finance processes including:
  • Intercompany (IC)
  • Chargebacks
  • Inventory Valuation
  • Principal Company Models
  • Distribution Centre Structures
• Experience supporting testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities
• Excellent stakeholder management and project coordination skills
• Ability to balance delivery leadership with hands-on consulting responsibilities

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior SAP Finance Consultant who has progressed into a Stream Lead or Part Project Lead role. You will be comfortable taking ownership of delivery activities while remaining actively involved in functional SAP Finance tasks throughout the project lifecycle.
