VMware Storage SME – SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a VMware Storage SME – SC Cleared on a Hybrid basis in Birmingham for an initial 6 month contract.

*** MUST HOLD ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE ***

The VMware and Storage SME is responsible for any implementation, configuration and maintenance of the VMware, datastore and storage infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of VMware VCF and the integrated storage components. This will include VMware datastores, LUNs and HPE Storage arrays. Key responsibilities include ensuring availability of existing and new storage requirements for build VMs and infrastructure within a secure on-premises environment.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of VMware products and storage technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware architecture, components and administration
• Experience with HPE storage arrays and their management.
• Experience with storage protocols such as FC and iSCSI and their configuration in a VMware environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and optimisation skills on integration between VMware and HPE storage.
• Experience with storage provisioning and allocations.

Desirable Skills:

• VMware certification (VCP or higher).
• Experience with on-premises storage solutions.
• Experience with storage virtualization technologies.
• Ability to understand, document and report VMware and Storage constraints. Planning and allocating resources appropriately.
