Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Network Engineer to work with a key client in Kalundborg
**please note this role requires 3-4 days onsite weekly**
Job description:
As an Infrastructure Network Expert, you will support designing, implementing, and maintaining organization’s network infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements, develop network architectures, and ensure optimal network performance and reliability. Your expertise in network technologies, protocols, and best practices will be instrumental in supporting our organization’s connectivity needs
– Extensive (min. 10 years) and recent hands-on experience is a MUST.
– Experience with Pharma industry preferred, but not a hard requirement.
Technical Proficiency:
* The SME should have a good understanding of Cisco networking and IT infrastructure components. They should be proficient in designing, implementing, and managing complex Cisco networks, with documented extensive experience (5 years min.) within the last 10 years.
Strategic Thinking and Planning:
* The SME should be able to develop strategic network infrastructure plans in alignment with business goals. They should have the ability to translate business requirements into technical networking solutions.
Communication and Collaboration:
* The architect should have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and external partners. They should be able to clearly articulate technical networking concepts to non-technical individuals and drive consensus among diverse teams.
Key responsibilities
* Assess network requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to develop network strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
* Conduct network capacity planning exercises to anticipate future needs and ensure scalability of network infrastructure.
* Define network standards, best practices, and guidelines for configuration, security, and performance optimization.
Design:
* Develop network architecture and design documents, including network diagrams, equipment configurations, and IP addressing schemes.
* Collaborate with security teams to define and implement network security policies, including firewall configurations, VPNs, and network access controls.
* Participate in network-related project planning and provide technical expertise for network infrastructure implementations and upgrades.
Design & Implement:
* Design and implement network infrastructure solutions, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks, to meet business requirements and performance objectives.
* Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues to ensure optimal network availability and performance.
* Participate in incident response activities, investigating and resolving network-related security incidents and breaches.
Handover
* Provide technical support and guidance to network operations teams, assisting with complex network issues and driving problem resolution.
* Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change management processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network automation and orchestration strategies to enhance efficiency and scalability
