VMWare Migration Expert – Part Time

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a VMWare Migration Expert on a remote basis for a 1 month duration.

*** 6 HOURS PER WEEK ***

*** OUTSIDE IR35 ***

Job Spec:

Main Responsibilities:

• Experience sharing mainly providing the following:
• Comparison tables: one VMware vs. Nutanix, plus one VMWare vs. Azure; our client is technical so these table must be then explained highlighting the implications of any gap
• Feasibility confirmation: reassuring the client not only it is feasible, but that someone has actually done it (ideal if the contractor has direct experience, but not needed)
• What could go wrong: contractor must walk the client through the problems / criticalities that they must be aware of
• Guidelines on planning:giving guidelines on which non critical workloads prioritize for migration, providing inputs useful to plan a migration, suggesting vendors / partners (ideally with Italian presence) who could support such journey

Key Skills:

• Direct experience in migration programs to move workloads away from VMWare to Nutanix and cloud
• Knowledge of such programs done by banks

Desirable Skills:

• Ideally candidate has a prior experience as an executive or senior manager in IT
• Ideally candidate has experience in financial services, preferably banks
