Position Overview

Whitehall Resources is looking for an experienced SAP RTR (Record-to-Report) Consultant with a strong background in SAP FICO, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC).

The successful candidate will have extensive experience across core financial processes, bank integrations, payment solutions, and financial reporting, alongside hands-on SAP MBC expertise. Experience with Vertex O Series integration and SAP BTP is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as the consultant must be confident engaging directly with client stakeholders, managing discussions independently, and supporting the delivery of financial systems and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance SAP RTR and SAP FICO processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Financial Close.

• Configure, support, and maintain SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC), including bank connectivity, payment processing, and monitoring.

• Manage bank integrations and payment interfaces, ensuring reliable connectivity and accurate financial transactions.

• Support electronic bank statements, bank reconciliation, payment formats, and treasury-related processes.

• Support Vertex O Series integration, including tax determination, indirect tax processes, and reporting requirements.

• Provide functional support for SAP S/4HANA Finance enhancements and related Fiori applications.

• Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces, including IDocs, APIs, middleware, and related integration components.

• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and deliver effective solutions.

• Support testing, defect resolution, and continuous improvements across finance and banking processes.

• Ensure financial processes and integrations operate effectively and align with business and compliance requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

SAP RTR / FICO

• Minimum 8 years of SAP FICO and/or RTR experience.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Asset Accounting

  • Financial Close

  • Bank Accounting

  • Intercompany Accounting

  • Financial Reporting

SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC)

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on SAP MBC experience.

• Practical experience with:

  • SWIFT connectivity

  • ISO 20022 payment formats

  • Bank onboarding and connectivity setup

  • Payment monitoring and message tracking

  • Treasury integration

• SAP BTP integration experience with MBC is preferred.

Bank Integration and Payments

• Good knowledge of Electronic Bank Statements (EBS).

• Experience with Bank Communication Management (BCM).

• Knowledge of Payment Medium Workbench (PMW).

• Experience with Lockbox functionality.

• Understanding of ACH and wire payments.

• Familiarity with SWIFT networks and bank connectivity.

• Strong understanding of bank reconciliation and treasury operations.

Vertex O Series

• Experience integrating Vertex O Series with SAP.

• Understanding of indirect tax processes and compliance requirements.

• Experience with tax determination and reporting.

SAP S/4HANA Finance and Integration

• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA Finance and implementing enhancements.

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications and financial reporting tools.

• Good understanding of IDocs, APIs, middleware, and interface monitoring.

• Ability to troubleshoot finance-related integration issues and support ongoing system improvements.

Communication and Client Management

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage directly with clients and manage discussions independently.

• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities.

• A proactive approach to identifying issues and delivering solutions.

• Ability to work effectively within a distributed, nearshore or offshore delivery model.

• Experience: 8+ years in SAP RTR/FICO, including at least 2 years of hands-on SAP MBC experience.
